Our Susan Goodwin Trunk Show will also be happening on Saturday, November 23rd from noon-5pm. This is an annual customer favorite! Susan is a local artist who has been designing jewelry for more than 25 years and she is internationally known for her gemstone and pearl jewelry designs. The 23rd Annual Giving Tree

The donations benefit our neighbors at Hickman House, a transitional housing facility for women and children who are recovering from domestic abuse. Gifts and gift cards will be accepted through December 22nd.

Independence Day at CAPERS

We just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a happy Fourth of July this week. The holiday is one of our favorites here around the store, because it gets everyone outside (if the weather cooperates of course!) and is always a great day of family, friends, BBQ, and outdoor entertaining.

We also have a few favorite pieces in Store that would be perfect for this week, and all summer long!

We love these great solar lanterns we have in the store. Beautiful and energy efficient, these would make a great addition to your Independence Day festivities. 

This is where we would like to be on Wednesday, away at a cabin relaxing on a Fermob bistro set. Made of powder coated recycled steel, this furniture can handle our Northwest weather!  

Although us ladies at CAPERS sure know how to BBQ, we are also always looking for new recipes to add to our arsenal, so it's a good thing carry this great book, "Slow Fire: The Beginners Guide to Barbecue". It will  come in handy this week!

A CAPERS guide to a day in West Seattle

So you are planning on spending a day in West Seattle? Great! There is so much to do and see (and eat!), we promise you won't regret it! Here is a little guide to some (more to come in the following weeks) of our favorite places to shop, eat, and explore around the neighborhood. Have fun!

 You CAN'T visit West Seattle without stopping by Bakery Nouveau .From Quiche Lorraine to the Twice Baked Almond Croissant, everything they make is AMAZING!

If you haven't already eaten enough at the bakery, then you must stop by Jak's Grill and get The Jak Burger. A half pound of seasoned beef topped with a pile of blue cheese , salty bacon, and tangy roasted red-pepper mayo. We highly recommend it.

Trick or Treat the Junction Saturday 1-3pm

Come join the rest of the kids on Saturday, October 30 from 1-3pm. It's about the cutest thing you've ever seen. Many parents join the kids...hilarious.

Bring Backpacks for Local Kids in Need

It's time for the annual West Seattle Backpack Drive. CAPERS wants to fill the shop windows with all the backpacks you bring, along with school supplies and packaged undies. Our neighborhood kids need to start the school year off right by being prepared on the first day of school. If you don't have time to shop, you can leave a donation and we'll shop for you. Now through September 1.

Summer Clearance and fun in the hood

CAPERS is joining in the neighborhood fun this weekend by adding our two bits and markdowns on salad bowls, lanterns, this and that and whatever else we come up with this week. When you come by this weekend, bring a backpack and/or school supplies for the West Seattle Helpline Backpack Drive. (Donations collected through September 1st.
